## Thesis

We are in the first era where one curious person with good tools can build what used to take an entire company. Shashank builds whole products by himself, end to end, to see how far one person can actually go. He works daily with AI agents (Claude Code) as a one-person engineering operation.

## Current role

Founding Engineer (sole engineer), Musly / Member House Inc. (muslyclub.com), New York, remote. April 2025 to present.

- Sole engineer for a private members' club live in five countries: built the iOS and Android apps (React Native), the Node.js backend, and multi-region infrastructure on Kubernetes across three AWS regions, with 99.9% uptime.
- Real-time messaging with Socket.IO and Redis pub/sub across horizontally scaled pods, with zero message loss at peak traffic.
- Subscription billing with Stripe: Apple Pay, Google Pay, card tokenization, automated renewals and dunning flows.
- Built the company's internal operations platform end to end: applicant review queue, billing and metrics dashboards, bulk operations tooling, and data exports, iterated weekly with non-technical operators.
- Production LLM features: live-computed member scoring from career and profile signals powering recommendations, and an in-app AI chat assistant.
- Automated global city launches with Kubernetes CronJobs across time zones. Rearchitected data export to streaming batches: 87% lower memory use, 10x faster responses.
- The company has been featured in Rolling Stone MENA, Cosmopolitan Middle East, and Billboard Africa. Shashank builds everything behind that.
